Suzan Gharamyan, director of the Alliance Française of Armenia, was awarded the second degree Medal of Honor of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs
On March 20th, Armenia celebrated Francophonie Day, which also marked the involvement of the Alliance Française in Armenia. During the course of the day, Suzan Gharamyan, the director of the Alliance Française in Armenia, was awarded the Order of Honor of the Republic of Armenia for her contribution to the promotion of Francophonie activities in the country.
In the framework of the event, the concert hall of the Komitas Chamber Music House hosted the concert of the Armenian State Chamber Choir, part of the "Tagharan" series of the highest quality music performances. The program featured works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Pierre Boulez, and other renowned composers.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials in the fields of education, science, culture, and sports, including Artur Martirosyan and Daniel Danielyan, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lukas Rosenkrantz, the head of the group of Francophonie ambassadors in Armenia, prominent Armenian composer Tigran Mansuryan, certified Francophonie experts from various countries, members of Armenian-French economic organizations, cultural and public figures, and other stakeholders.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports informed that throughout the month of March, Francophonie cultural and educational events are taking place in all regions of Armenia, aimed at the development and dissemination of Francophonie values and culture.
"This year, a variety of events and programs dedicated to Francophonie are being organized in Armenia, including cultural events and projects, some of which also feature our concert today," he added.
