The TCF is an official French language level test, intended for non-Francophones who wish, for professional, personal or academic reasons, to have their knowledge in French easily and reliably assessed and validated. No academic qualification or preparation is required to sit for the test.

The DFP exam is composed of 4 obligatory parts: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, oral expression, written expression.
