The director, Suzanne Gharamyan: "In this year of 2023, the Alliance Française d'Arménie proudly celebrates its 20 years of existence in Yerevan, 20 years of dedication to the promotion of the French language and culture in the country. Its creation in 2003, was based on a long Francophile tradition, on secular relations of friendship between France and Armenia and especially on the commitment of several actors: its creators, its governors, its pedagogical team and its partners for whom the true Francophonie in Armenia was a bet to be won.
Today we can say that this bet has been won: Armenia is a full member of the Francophonie, French is more and more present in the educational system of the country, the number of French speakers in the Armenian administrations and in professional circles is increasing from one year to the next.
And in all of this, the Alliance française has always played an important role by engaging in ambitious projects. I wish all of us: administrators, teaching staff, members, learners, French-speaking and Francophile audiences many more years of sharing, collaboration and happy moments around this beautiful language that we love and to which we are tenderly attached. "
